Asset Relationships
Summary: Certain assets can be tied to other assets. A “parent” asset is an asset at a higher level such as an engine. A “child” asset is an asset tied to that parent asset such as a cylinder, gear drive, final drive, etc. This allows users to quickly navigate between assets that have a direct relationship with other assets.
Steps to creating an Asset Relationship:
Step 2: In the Search Assets field, type the name of the asset and hit Enter (or click the blue magnifying glass icon immediately to the right of the search field).

Step 3: Click the asset to open the asset.

Step 4: Scroll down to the Relationships section and click the Pencil icon.

Step 5: At the next screen, click the “+ Add” button

Step 6: Type the name of the child asset in the search field and click the magnifying glass.

Step 7: The Asset should appear in the list. Click that asset.

The asset you have added should appear as a child asset now under the Relationships screen:

Step 8: Repeat steps 4-7 as needed for additional child assets. Then click the Save button.
After saving, the Relationships window should look like this:
